Every Young Person Deserves a Fair Start.
The care a young person receives today can echo for years.
For many young people in our community, the start of a new school year brings uncertainty instead of excitement. Some are staying focused in class while living in a shelter. Some are working toward a GED after years of hardship. Others are carrying the weight of homelessness and family conflict while trying to move forward.
At Sasha Bruce Youthwork, we show up for every one of them, and your gift to the Back-to-School Fund helps make sure we always can.
Every young person who walks through our doors deserves to start the school year with what they need to succeed.

When Alexa came to our emergency shelter in Prince George's County, she had nowhere else to turn. Our team encouraged her, again and again, to keep going and believe in herself.
Years later, she called to share some news. Since leaving our shelter, Alexa earned her Nursing Assistant certification and picked up her new scrubs for her first day of work.
The care she received, a safe place, steady encouragement, and people who believed in her are still echoing forward.
That is what your support makes possible.
